Human Rights Protection & Advocacy
What We Do
- Case Documentation & Intervention: We systematically document human rights violations and intervene with relevant authorities, including the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and State Human Rights Commissions
- Our approach follows the NHRC's complaint handling mechanism, ensuring cases are properly registered and tracked
- Legal Representation Support: For victims who cannot afford legal counsel, we provide guidance on accessing free legal services through the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) framework
- Article 39A of the Constitution of India guarantees free legal aid to weaker sections of society, and we help citizens exercise this right
- Awareness & Education: We conduct community workshops to educate citizens about their fundamental rights under the Indian Constitution and international human rights instruments. Knowledge is the first line of defense against rights violations.
- Established in 2020 and headquartered in Vadodara, Gujarat, we operate with a singular vision: to create a society governed by Truth (सत्य), Justice (न्याय), and Peace (शांति).
- As a NITI Aayog registered and ISO 9001:2015 certified organization, we are committed to transparency, accountability, and impactful social change. We serve as a voice for the voiceless, ensuring that every citizen has access to justice and that public institutions remain accountable to the people.
Special Focus Areas
- Women's Rights: Supporting victims of domestic violence, harassment, and gender-based discrimination.
- Children's Rights: Advocating for protection under the POCSO Act, 2012, which mandates legal aid, counseling, and rehabilitation for child victims of sexual offenses
- Minority & Marginalized Communities: Ensuring equal protection under the law for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, OBCs, and religious minorities.
- Prisoners' Rights: Addressing issues of custodial violence, illegal detention, and inhumane conditions, guided by Supreme Court precedents like DK Basu vs State of West Bengal
- How We Work with NHRC: The NHRC registers complaints and assigns case numbers for tracking

We assist citizens in:
- Preparing properly formatted complaints that meet NHRC guidelines
- Submitting evidence and documentation to support claims
- Following up on case status through the NHRC portal
Understanding the limitations: NHRC typically does not entertain cases older than one year, anonymous complaints, or frivolous matters
